THE 45th SBA ENGLISH SPEECH CONTEST
On October 30th, 2024, Sara Goto(中3年生), Ami Shigematsu(中３年生), and Marin Asano(中２年生) from Tezukayama Gakuin Izumigaoka Junior High School participated in the 45th Annual Sakai Berkeley Speech Contest. Each student was required to write an English speech and prepare a Powerpoint presentation which they would then perform for the contest. It was very challenging for each student to write their thoughts in English, but they all worked very hard to prepare prepared unique and interesting speeches. Once they finished writing their speeches, they faced the challenges of memorizing them, and perfecting their pronunciation and intonation.
On the day of the contest, there were 40 students who gave speeches. Everyone was very nervous, but Sara, Ami, and Marin all did their best, and they did an excellent job at giving their speeches. After all students had given their speeches, the winners were announced and Marin Asano won first place in the contest overall! Sara, Ami, and Marin should be very proud of their hard work and congratulations to Marin on her victory!
